Inkwazi Birds: The BCC Birdwatching Club
BCC hosts the Inkwazi Birds Club, a passionate group of birdwatchers who have identified over 107 bird species on the club grounds. The club meets every 3rd Tuesday of the month at 7pm for engaging talks and presentations by invited experts on diverse topics such as “Saving South Africa’s Vultures” and “Birds and Climate Change”.
Bird experts Dave Munslow and Valry Tyrteos lead the club, keeping members updated on new bird sightings. Members and visitors are encouraged to share their own sightings to contribute to the growing Inkwazi Bird list.
Whether you are a seasoned birder or a nature enthusiast, Inkwazi Birds offers a welcoming community to learn, share, and enjoy birdwatching within the beautiful BCC environment. This club provides a unique opportunity to explore local biodiversity, contribute to conservation awareness, and connect with fellow bird lovers in Gauteng.
