Lawn bowls is an ideal way for people to develop their skills, co-ordination and fitness. Join the dynamic BCC bowls section, offering both a fun environment for social players as well as a more formal atmosphere for the competitive bowler. You have the option to decide on your own pace and slot into a section that fits into your lifestyle.
The bowls section at BCC is innovative with a host of events ranging from barefoot bowls for beginners, twilight bowls for the social butterflies, various formal tournaments and both ladies and men’s league sides. All events are updated and published in the Club diary available from reception on the website.

Out of interest, the first BCC bowling green was opened in February 1953, followed by a second green in June 1958.  Both greens are still A grade facilities due to ongoing upgrades, with an overlooking pavilion, that is the hub of activity on playing days.

Lawn bowls is fun!
It is a social activity that enables participation by all, regardless of their skill level. As a team building exercise, it offers a relaxed, friendly competitive activity combined with social interaction.

The bowls section at BCC will gladly introduce your Company staff to lawn bowls with a variety of novelty activities such as left handed and/or blindfolded bowling, along with a good old-fashioned round robin tournament.

Everyone gets to participate greatly with plenty time for socialising in between.
